The lush jungle of Guatemala, found in the north of the country, is home to the centre of the ancient Mayan civilisation. With excavated cities such as Tikal it is an amazing place to travel. The weather is always nice and the people are warm and friendly.These pictures were taken on various trips to the area.

We have included the following Mayan sites: Nakum, Tikal, Topoxte, Uaxactun, Xultun and Yaxha. Also worthwile are those of El Remate (an ecovillage next to a beautiful lake) and El Peru, a remote Mayan site next to the El Peru River. We hope you will enjoy these photographs.
